KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 - Fast. Modular. Future-proof.
With KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0, we have focused on building on our strengths. This means that version 2.0 runs faster, is more modular, and is even better suited for Kubernetes environments with the highest security and compliance requirements.
What is KubeOps COMPLIANCE?COMPLIANCE contains all the applications necessary for the efficient provisioning, management, and scaling of Kubernetes clusters. Our software is based on open source tools selected and tested by our experts, which are combined into a well-designed, user-friendly, and secure solution. The result is a seamless software solution designed to meet the highest security and compliance requirements. With flexible deployment scenarios, from on-premises to multicloud, COMPLIANCE is also able to manage and migrate your Kubernetes environments anywhere, whether they are operated by a hyperscaler or in your own data center. |
More Speed
With KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0, the entire cluster creation and upgrade process has been fundamentally redesigned. This results in noticeable performance gains that reduce the time required for cluster setup by up to 75%. In internal tests setting up fully operational clusters, including tools, was done in less than half the time it previously took.
More support for operating systems
Version 2.0 no longer only supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux, now in version 9.6, but also Ubuntu in version 24.04 LTS for the first time.
Easier to expand
KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 has a modular structure, making it easier to expand. This allows you to easily add new storage providers , for example.
More CNI support
With Cilium Container Network Interface (CNI), KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 now supports another high-performance and scalable CNI in addition to Calico.
Air gap ready: Package installation without an active internet connection
KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 can collect installation packages in advance and bundle them into a validatable, self-contained air gap package that can also be installed offline. This gives you full control over your deployments in highly regulated and isolated environments.
What is an air gap?Air gap is a security measure for IT systems that involves isolating a system from external networks. The separation can be physical, by not allowing any wired or wireless network connections. Logical isolation is also sometimes referred to as an air gap. In this case, a network connection is physically present, but access to or modification of an IT system is strictly regulated by encryption and access control. |
Clearer, simpler configuration and troubleshooting
With 2.0, we simplify configuration and troubleshooting. The new version generates readable logs, making your work easier throughout the entire lifecycle, from setup to updates.
For existing customers: Switching to KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0
First, the good news: the switch to KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 can be carried out largely without manual configuration steps.
However, one point must be taken into account:
- The cluster definitions (YAML) must be adapted because the tool kubeopsctl 2.0 uses new value formats (cluster-values.yaml, enterprise-values.yaml). Simply copying old files is not possible, but the effort required for adaptation is manageable.
For new customers: KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 is the ideal starting point
Our new version is the ideal time to entrust your cluster management to KubeOps, because you not only benefit from new features, but also from our new free trial version. So there's no reason not to try KubeOps COMPLIANCE 2.0 without obligation and make your cluster management easier, faster, and more future-proof.
